Spring & Summer bring boating, fishing, hiking and long lazy evenings relaxing lakeside as the sun sets over the mountains. Arrive by car or pull right up to our dock — multiple boat slips are available for Lodge guests and dining patrons from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

Fall in the Rangeley Lakes Region is simply breathtaking. The foliage season puts on one of the most spectacular color shows in all of New England — and there's no better place to take it all in than from the shores of Rangeley Lake.

Winter transforms Rangeley into a true outdoor playground. With 170 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, world-class skiing and snowboarding at Saddleback Mountain, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, there's no shortage of adventure. Snowmobile right to our door — our expanded parking area accommodates snowmobile trailers for Lodge guests. Then warm up by the fire with a hot chocolate or one of Jarrod's handcrafted cocktails. "The Loon Lodge dining experience surpassed all expectations! My husband and I split an order of the lamb chops and the mushroom risotto,
and both were fantastic.
The lamb chops were seasoned and cooked to perfection and came with an incredibly flavorful mint sauce that complemented the meat so well. The veggies were also delicious (likely coated in butter) and I appreciated the spices chosen to season the carrots.
The risotto was creamy and the right texture. I appreciated the assortment of mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach cooked into it.
Finally, we ended on a slice of key lime pie (also perfect)! And shared a warm chocolate bread pudding with his sister and her husband.
(Pro tip: ask for vanilla ice cream with the chocolate bread pudding instead of the default chocolate).

This was a Phenomenal staycation. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was five star quality. In speaking with the chef we told him how wonderful the food was, his first response was giving credit to all of the kitchen staff. He said he had phenomenal kitchen staff and could not do it without them. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The view from our room was spectacular, looking right out of window to Rangeley Lake.
When we spoke with the manager, I told her how well-run the lodge seemed. Again her first response was giving all of the credit to the staff. My wife and I have not had a vacation for quite a while and could not have asked for a better experience. There are many things to do and places to go. My wife and I do want to recognize our bartender and server Mercedes. My wife says she was incredible and I agree. Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff that made our vacation so memorable.

We had a great stay at Loon Lodge Inn. The room was cozy & clean. The staff is friendly, conscientious & TEAM oriented (wonderful to see them all having each others' back when it got busy). The location is ideal for a weekend of Saddleback skiing...(or snow-sledding or whatever floats your boat)!
